I can't believe that February is almost over, does that mean spring is right around the corner? On Thursday you could check out some pop sounds from the Pacific Northwest with Blitzen Trapper or the mesmerizing sounds of Juana Molina from Argentina. On Friday check out the show at the Plough and Stars for a little soul and R&B. On Saturday there are a few good choices. There's the roller derby match in Wilmington and then you can stay for the music of Slim Jim and the Mad Cows or the Swirlies reunion or some fun cover music at the Lizard. Me, I'm going to go to Toad to see the last night of Bill Janovitz's residency. I am very excited about Sunday, not only do I get to check out the new House of Blues (which I hear is amazing) but I also get to see the ledgendary Tom Jones (cause "It's Not Unusual"). Tuesday at PA's Lounge could be cool, I've seen the Bad Livers a few times so I'm thinking Ralph White's new project could be good.
