You can tell that Spring is right around the corner. Nope it isn't wishful thinking, just look at all of the upcoming shows. Bands don't like to come here in the Winter so it must be almost Spring, right?
On Thursday, I have a networking thing so if I can get out for music, it'll be the Cantab (although I've seen Darker My Love and they are really good live, hmmmm... a dilemma). On Friday the big show is at Church with some great local bands. There's also the Harpoon St Pat's Festival and beer is good. On Saturday if you didn't have enough beer before you can go to Harpoon (and the Gobshites are playing and they sing songs about drinking, imagine that). For Saturday night if you like the whole new soul music revival from the UK (like Amy Winehouse, Adele and Duffy) check out Alice Russell at the ME. The show at TTs is for a good cause so it'd be a good place to be. And if you feel like seeing KISS, Cheap Trick (with members of the Rudds and the Neighborhoods) and the Who, then you should head over to Church for the tribute night. And good luck to anyone who gets a ticket to see U2 at their super secret show on Wednesday.
