Information Crush: Amy's Show List

Wow, there were many many additions that I made to the list. if you get a chance take a look and start writing shows on your calendar cause there are just too many to remember.

On Thursday if you haven't been to the Armory in Somerville yet, here's your chance to check it out and hear some good soul shouting from Barrance Whitfield and the Savages and the cocktail/movie theme sounds of Four Piece Suit, great bill. On Friday there are some really good choices. I saw Camera Obscura last time they were in town and they were great so head over to the Somerville Theater to catch their show (if you like mellifluous music from Scotland with a female vocalist that is). Or if you like some rock, go to the Paradise for local heroes Buffalo Tom. Although the Swinedells at Church would be fun too. On Saturday my pick is the WMBR Benefit show at Church with Versus, Rebecca Gates and Buffalo Tom. I don't know if there are still tickets available, I hope so cause I don't have mine yet. If you don't get to Church there are other options, the Cantab rocks with Polski Fiat and Axe Munkee; the Plough twangs with The Coachman and I guess you could say Atwood's also twangs with Three Day Threshold. On Sunday you can't beat the lineup at the Paradise, The New York Dolls and Black Joe Lewis, very tempting. On Wednesday old school punk rules with the return of The Germs at Harpers. Playing the part of Darby Crash is actor Shane West, the new singer in the band, seriously.

Here's a new and yummy freebie. Kickass Cupcakes in Davis Square is having their monthly cupcake happy hour on Monday from 5p-7p. Check their site for more details: http://kickasscupcakes.com/

You had better act fast if you want to take advantage of this freebie. Burt's Bees is giving away free lip balm everyday between now and June 30. Just log onto www.burtsbees.com between 9a and noon to download a coupon. The time that they open the contest is different everyday so keep trying.

Also don't forget, on every Friday starting at 9a, you can go to www.realchocolate.com and download a coupon for free chocolate be one of the first 250,000 people to get your sweets. If you don't get one on this week, don't worry, this promotion is running every Friday thru September. Have you gotten yours yet?

So did I miss anything worthwhile? If so let me know so I can fix it for next time.
