Radio Crush: Local Music Playlists, Week of July 20th-26th

Though radio has suffered some serious blows in the past few weeks, many Boston stations are still alive and kicking. Sometimes its hard to remember, but way back in the day, before Last.fm, blogs, MySpace, Pandora and the like, real life DJs were primary sources for finding new music. While some commercial stations spam our brains with ads for used cars, credit reports and the occasional male enhancement supplement, there are still a lot of "good guys" out there who are on the radio because they love sharing new music with whoever will listen.

So, to highlight these warriors of the airwaves, Boston Band Crush is keeping track of the great playlists Boston DJs are putting together each week. Radio focusing on local music should not go overlooked. Check back each Monday for the past weeks' updates.
