On Thursday you can get your inner arena rock star on at Bang Camaro at the Middle East or head to the Cape to get your inner soft rock 1970's AM radio self on at the Cape Cod Melody Tent with Loggins and Messina. Or you can catch Three Day Threshold at Atwoods as they continue their residency there for this month. Friday has many many shows to choose from (some could say too many choices). If you like glam rock and fake French bands, then the harbor cruise is perfect for you with Electric Six and Sans Les Cullotes. There are also dueling surf shows with The Fathoms at the Midway and The Nebulas at Church. Or garage bands at All Asia with the reunion show of Jetset. Friday is definitely rockin'! Saturday brings Nancy Neon's B-Day party at the Cantab with lots of old school Boston rock bands. On Sunday you can get some early rock in starting at noon at the Midway and then you can head to Drink for some fancy Tiki Cocktails at 4p, yummy! And you still have energy, there's John Powhida at Toad. Monday nights at Charlie's Kitchen means rock and they have a great rock show with the Curses, the Acrobrats and Noble Rot.
Thursday starts the Boston Greenfest at City Hall Plaza, here are some highlights. There's a whole bunch of stuff happening including free music starting at 5p on Thursday with the Motion Sick and closing the night with Mr Lif. On Friday at the Greenfest, music starts at 10a, but the sets that look the most interesting to me start at 3-3:45 p.m.: Jenny Dee & The Deelinquents; 4-4:45 p.m.: The Lights Out; 5-5:45 p.m.: The Gentlemen and 6:15-7 p.m.: The Neighborhoods. And on Saturday at the Greenfest music also starts at 10a but I'd aim to be there at 5p for these bands: 5-5:45 p.m.: The Dirty Truckers; 6-6:45 p.m.: Midatlantic; 7-7:45 p.m.: John Powhida International Airport; 8- 8:45 p.m.: AM Stereo and 9-10 p.m.: Lucero.
