Information Crush: Amy's Show List

So here we are at Labor Day Weekend, does that mean that summer's over? I hope not...So if you're not going away for the long weekend, here are some options for you. On Thursday you can check out Kay Hanley doing her solo thing at TTs (as I write this, it's soldout on line but there are tix at the door so get there early, like 6p). Also on Thursday is the popular indie band !!! aka Clik Clik Clik at the Middle East (I think there are still tix available for the show but no guarantees). On Friday The Televandals are doing their thing at Great Scotts the Plough has Monique Ortiz. On Saturday the Middle East has an interesting show with Brooklyn's The Pains of Being Pure at Heart or there's Eilen Jewell at Precinct or Georgia Overdrive at Toad. Of course there's always the Pet Shop Boys at the House of Blues (and now I have the theme to Ab Fab running thru my brain). On Sunday, I know that there are many many people going to the House of Blues for the huge Motorhead and Reverend Horton Heat show. There's also a garage rock show at the Middle East with the Lovemenots, Jeddo Stars and Mondo Topless. On Monday Alice in Chains is at the Paradise but unless you have tix already, you're not going. But you could instead go to the Middle East and see Joe Jack Talcum from the Dead Milkmen (and now I have Punk Rock Girl playing in my head). On Tuesday, I will always have a soft spot for the Bodeans but they're playing in Foxboro at Showcase Live so I doubt I'll get there but they are great live. And on Wednesday, the ICA is presenting the very cool and ambient instrumental band from Australia which looks awesome.
