Information Crush: Amy's Show List

So here we are at the weekend before the holiday season officially begins and everyone's schedule gets really busy, so get your music fixes in now. On Thursday night you can check out the final night of the Jenny Dee & The Deelinquints residency at the Lizard. It's also the first night of the International Pop Overthrow 4 night stint at Church. Night 1 of the IPO has The Buckners, The Doom Buggies and more. There are also 2 great free shows on Thursday, Lars Vegas is at the Alchemist and Sally O'Brien's has an impressive lineup. On Friday Thalia Zedek and Shepardess is at the Milky and Dave Aaronof is at the Plough. Night 2 of the IPO has The Stompers, Big City Rockers and Fox Pass. Also on Friday the Beatle Butchers are at Toad doing "The Early Years". Saturday night has many many great shows to choose from, good luck deciding where to go. Night 3 of the IPO has The Kights Out, The Motion Sick and more at Church. It's Neon Night at the Cantab with the Port Charles Quintet (saw them last week and they were so much fun, definitely worth checking out). Saturday is also the second night of the Beatle Butchers doing "The Later Years", a little Sgt Pepper, perhaps? I hear good things about Kingsley Flood but my pick for Saturday is the Vivs (great write-up in Blurt Magazine this month btw) at the Plough. On Sunday I wish I had tix to see Sonic Youth and the Feelies at the Wilbur, oh well, at least there's the final night of the IPO with Sal Baglio and the Rationales at Church. On Monday, the Gong Show Karaoke at TTs looks like it could be very entertaining and it's free. Also on Monday Vagiant's at Charlie's Kitchen and Sonic Youth is at the Wilbur for their second night. On Tuesday Hilken Mancini and Tom Novotny are at the Alchemist. Wednesday brings Fuck Buttons to Great Scotts and they're getting lots of buzz.
