Cub Country is touring in
support of their July release "Stretch That Skull Cover and Smile." This band Formed in 1999 as a side project for then Jets to Brazil bassist Jeremy Chatelain. Upon listening to this record, one could pick out the Jets to Brazil influence in the songwriting, but the weapons have changed – instead of distorted guitars and pounding drums, Cub Country uses a pedal steel, harmonica, acoustic guitars, some brush
sticks on the drums all to create a bluesy, folky, country-tinged approach to rock ‘n’ roll.Sharing the stage and creating a dynamic line-up will be The Big Big Bucks with their in-your-face approach to accessible garage rock. These must see Boston locals already have a good reputation for face-melting rock. Also performing are Yoni Gordon and the Goods – a jangly punk rock outfit reminiscent of Ted Leo + the Pharmacists. Opening the show are Borrowed Eyes – a nice and heavy approach to folk rock.
This show is a must see for anyone who is a fan of a wide array of rock ‘n’ roll.
