Information Crush: Amy's Shows List

Welcome to the weekend! Lots of cool happenings to share with you. Starting on Thursday, Joe Pernice is at the Lizard Lounge (there are still tix but this show is sure to sell out). Also on Thursday the Wheelers and Dealers will be at the Plough (cool, country songs about drinking) and The Gobshites are at the Burren (cool, Irish songs about drinking). On Friday Mission of Burma starts a 2 night stay at the Paradise and on Friday the Konks are the opening band. Also on Friday The Full Time Dreamers starts things off at the Cantab along with Fictional Monsters and Jesus & the Argonauts. There are great shows at the Middle East, Church and the Armory, way too many choices. Saturday has the second night of Burma at the Paradise and the Wrens at the Middle East and Canadian metal icons Anvil at the House of Blues (haven't seen the movie about them but have heard great things about it). On Sunday Cracker (Eurotrash Girl) and Camper Van Beethoven (Take the Skinheads Bowling) are at the Middle East, I'd love to see this show but thinking that Treat Her Right at Toad is more in my budget (free!). Monday at Charlie's Kitchen looks really rockin' with JJ & Thee Cuban Heels and Triple Thick. On Tuesday the show at Great Scotts sounds interesting with Animal Tropic and Freelance Whales. And on Wednesday there's a benefit for ACE (the Roxbury non-profit Alternatives for Community & Environment) with Hot Molasses at the Middle East.
