CD On Songs: Tin Tin Buffet - "Revere Beach (Father Abraham Remix)"

Have you missed C.D.? We have. We feel empty without our daily dose of his whimsy, and we're in withdrawal without our free local music downloads. We're assured that he'll be back next week, if not sooner, and we will rejoice upon his return. In the meantime, our beloved homme de chapeau Richard Bouchard returns for another guest spot to take us on a scenic beach picnic with the cast of Quiet Desperation. Take it away, Rich! -AW

Everybody is watching Quiet Desperation, Rob Potylo's reality sitcom about the Allston comedy and music scene, right? If you're not familiar it's time to check it out. The show uses comics and musicians from the Boston area for it's cast and showcases music from local acts as the soundtrack. And drops F-bombs. Lots and lots of F-bombs. Rob Potylo, HUMANWINE, Super Time Pilot, Do Not Forsake Me Oh My Darling and many more have all been featured, as well as the touchscreen bar video game at Great Scott.

Which brings us to today's song. "Revere Beach (Father Abraham Remix)" by Tin Tin Buffet brings us back to the party time hip-hop of our youth (with much more swearing if you were only listening to "Summertime" by the Fresh Prince). They love Revere Beach, and this is their ode to it. Try to listen to this song and not picture yourself cruising down the beach with the stereo blasting, dodging pedestrians and eating fried foods.

The very NSFW refrain of "Suckin' and fuckin' even as we speak, suckin' and fuckin' up and down the street" and the "ay yi yi yi yi yi yi" that follows get all up in your head from the get-go, and you can smell that salty water as they put you at the scene, nips of Seagrams in your pocket, hanging with crack hos, a possible trip to the Squire on the agenda. If the Revere Beach board of tourism is listening, we think you've found your anthem.

Want to submit your band's song to C.D. On Songs?
To be reviewed in a C.D. On Songs column:

*Be a Boston-based band/artist.

*Email a single mp3/m4a/etc. (or a download link to one) to cdonsongs (at) gmail (dot) com, with the subject line "C.D. on Songs" (DO NOT send us a bunch of songs and make us pick, we will ignore you). We require a file – not a streaming link.

*Include album cover art if you have any. If you don't, a band photo or logo is acceptable.

*Tell us when you want to see it! Give us the date of your show and we'll make sure it runs as close as possible to that day. No kidding.

We will assume that we have your permission to make the song downloadable on Boston Band Crush (readers will want to hear it, after all). If that's not ok with you, say so and provide us with a link to the song on an embeddable player like ReverbNation – something we can include in the post (and not just link to).
